Some of the songs from the album come from her piece of work with various producers (RedOne, Rob Fusari, KNS Productions) in 2006-2007 and the other half with her work after being signed to Interscope Records (Martin Kierszenbaum, RedOne). I want people to experience a role of this lifestyle."

"I just feel like this record is really different - you've got lodge bangers to more 70s glam to more vocalist-songwriter records to stone music. [...] The Fame is not about who you are — it's about how everybody wants to know who you lot are! Purchase information technology and listen to it before you go out or in the motorcar. [...] I think you lot've really got to let artists' creativity to marinate. It took me a while simply really delving into myself I finally got information technology. I couldn't exist more than proud of it. Information technology'due south not but a tape[,] it'due south a whole pop art move[.] It's not just about one song."

"This thought of 'The Fame' runs through and through. Basically, if you have nothing—no coin, no fame—you tin still feel beautiful and dirty rich. It's well-nigh making choices, and having references—things you lot pull from your life that you believe in. It's well-nigh self-discovery and being creative. The tape is slightly focused, merely it'south likewise eclectic. The music is intended to inspire people to feel a certain manner about themselves, then they'll be able to embrace, in their own lives, a sense of inner fame that they can projection to the world, and the carefree nature of the album is a reflection of that aura. I like to funnel interesting ideas to the residue of the world through a pop lens."
